I have noticed all of these mommy-and-me groups for stay at home moms. But what about those of us who work all day? I have only lived in Bluffton for 9 months-but cannot find activities for my 2 year old son. Is there anyone interested in starting a playgroup?

We are opening Island playground in 2 weeks, and I have been getting feedback recently about the need for more activities for working parents in the area. We will be offering Mommy 'N Me classes and would definitely like to provide something for moms like you. What day and time would you be looking for and do you think there are enough other interested moms who would want to participate?
Even though Toddle Town is in Beaufort and may not be helpful to you, to other working moms in Beaufort, we try very hard to be flexible and have late afternoon classes but would schedule something for anyone interested in a working mom's playgroup. Call 524-0777 to make suggestions for times and days.

Glad to hear from you. I too posted a question about evening activities. I moved here about 8 months ago and we struggle to find things to do with the kids either after they get home from school which when I was not working was 4:15- 4:30 and now that I am working after 5:00. My kids have participated in sports but it is a struggle to get them to 5:30 and 6:00 games.

My kids are too old to play well with your son, but I definitely share your sentiment and wanted to suggest to the various businesses around town that cater to children's activities....Could you be open on Sundays? Is it too hard to find anyone willing to work Sundays? For working moms, we only have two days off, and Saturdays are often full with children's sports and birthday parties. For playgroups and playing together as a family, Sundays are the only chance we have.
I second this. A play center willing to be open on a Sunday would be wonderful. As a working Mom and mother of two, Sunday is one of my favorite days. I love playing with my family. I would be all over a play center open on Sundays. Great idea!
Being a teacher in Bluffton, I work until 4p.m. everyday. Having an activity that starts around 4:30p.m. during the week or perhaps an early morning class on Saturday would be nice.
I was just thinking the same thing recently. I am a working mom too. I work from 8-5 Monday through Friday. I normally spend the weekends taking my kids to the pool or to the Beach....but what about meeting other kids. That is the hardest part for me.
I'd love to see a Mommy and Me class for working moms! Sundays would be great. We would be there!
