Our son still likes to have his "baba" right before bed or nap. I think it's a comfort thing for him but I would really like to try and eliminate the bottle all together. How do we even start this process? Any suggestions would be welcome!
I read you snip the tip of the pacifier a bit each night. Over time the child doesn't want it. I tried it with my son and he throw out his pacifier the first night I did this. Over and done:)
Do you mean - no more bottle before sleep, or no more bottle - switch to a sippy cup?
If it's the before sleep thing - perhaps you could try putting less and less (milk?) in it each time, until there's just nothing left. Another thing I've heard is to start cutting it with water, a little at a time, until the child is just left with plain water.
If you're trying to ditch the bottle - we used the sippy cups with straws as the next step after the bottle, as our son wanted nothing to do with a sippy cup. Eventually we switched from the straw sippy to a regular sippy.

I agree! Snip the tip! :)
