CHEC 2008 is the Coastal Home Educator's Conference a parenting, education and homeschool event that will feature Christian family counselor, Lou Priolo teaching on two of his books, The Heart of Anger - Practical Help for the Prevention and Cure of Anger in Children (AND Teens!) and Teach Them Diligently - How to Use the Scriptures in Child Training. There will be workshops on how to teach the very young child, how to remediate academic weakness, using manipulative-based math-u-see, and lots more. There will also be a Vendor Hall open with curriculum and education specialists showing their newest and best products for making learning fun and exciting.

The event is open to the public, but you must register either online (www.GoCHEC.org) or at the door. $10 per adult admits you to all the CHEC events Friday and Saturday, May 30 - 31. Children are free and can attend all events, as long as they do not disturb the other participants.
