Yes, we're STILL doing THAT

In my fairly long breastfeeding career, I have been lucky enough that I was never, ever asked to cover up when feeding my children like others have. I don't even recall being looked at askance by anyone outside of my own family (another story, another time). With my first child I covered up, searched out changing rooms, lingered in the car, and did everything I could because I was uncomfortable with my own nursing skills. It took a few more kids to gain my confidence, but now I've nursed in malls, restaurants, libraries, on trains, on buses, poolside and parkside.

Moms Forum spotlights useful discussion taking place on the parenting forums of newspapers around the country.QUESTION: "OK, I'm a new PTA mom ... and I've volunteered to be my DS's 'room parent' for his kindergarten parties this year ... I'm not sure what I got myself into! ... I'm not the least bit crafty and I have to come up with some 'things' to keep these 24 feisty creatures happy, scared and busy for an hour. Any ideas you'd like to share for crafts/activities, etc.?

Blogging moms

A weekly glimpse of what moms are saying on the Web."Dear Emma,So. The big 4th grade camping trip is tomorrow. I bet you're different kinds of stuff. Excited to be with all your friends, excited about the nighttime walk you'll be taking (with no flashlights, right?), excited about being away from home. And a little worried about being away from home too I bet. Well, I feel all those feelings sometimes too. Isn't it weird to feel super excited and worried, all at the same time?"- Blair, http://blairpeter.typepad.com/weblog/
