I guess I'm going to have to take a picture of myself. Usually, I'm behind the camera, not in front of it. Until then, I decided to use someone much cuter, my littlest urchin, Rachel.
As an artist, writer, and entrepreneur, I work from home. I know that sounds pretty fluffy, but it isn't always. For instance, working around the children and their schedules means I put in some crazy hours. And they don't always understand how I can be right there, and yet not, because I'm working. So I've had to learn to take breaks and to play- which is not a bad skill for any adult to acquire!
I have three websites, which feed the family. The first is very new, and still being developed, but you can see it here:
http://www.cinchi-ez-bib.weebly.com - This is a revolutionary new product that my sister and I invented that makes anything a bib.
http://www.showmethedough.weebly.com - A blog that started out as a book, about how to save money and time on groceries. My grocery bill is under $300/month for a family of four, plus assorted pets. I wanted very much to share it with others while the economy is so difficult.
htttp://www.marlenamontaney.com - my artist portfolio. I do a lot of portraiture, both of people and pets. Also, I'm finally getting to follow my muse a bit and do some architectural paintings, as well, featuring the wonderful old places in SC and GA (Savannah).
There's a lot more on Flickr, at http://www.flickr.com/photos/smilingdogstudio/sets/
Looking forward to meeting up with other moms in our area!
