Biography

I'm a homeschooling mom of 2 beautiful daughters age 5 and 12, both of whom we adopted from China. We brought our youngest home a year ago June 1, and the attachment and bonding to our family has been so incredibly easy. We've been homeschooling for 8 years and love it. It's not for everyone, but it's not as difficult or daunting as what some people think. We love the flexibility it gives our family and I love spending lots of quality time with my girls. My husband has recovered from a heart transplant (12/03), but it took almost a year, so the flexibility in carrying our books to hospitals and physical therapy appointments was great. Also, our daughter learned a tremendous amount about the body, heart and medicine in general. Truly, it was a great year of learning and growing. I keep busy with my family, church (cbcofbeaufort.org) and special events (www.GoCHEC.org is my latest) that I help organize for our homeschool and church groups.
